NIGHT TELLING STORY (DORM ACTIVITY)

Night Telling Story is a program belongs to Language Centre (LC) of SMA GIBS that is acted at dormitory. Three to five students are appointed to read the story as their masterpiece. Its masterpiece is allowed to be an Arabic or English. Moreover, each student should prepare the story before they read as story teller at Lobby Desk of GIBS’s Dorm. Its program is divided into two namely male dormitory and female dormitory actions. Those are organized by SoT supported by leader from each room.

 A. FUNCTION OF ACTORS

1. Speaker or Teller

The student who is being on duty to tell the story, has a function to tell or to present the story to audiences. He or she must prepare the best such as narrative, recount, biography, spoof, etc. In this case, the speaker or story teller should sign  his signature after telling his story.

2. Student on Teaching (SOT)

SOT has a function to assess or control the process of its activity. It has a task to give  legal signature for the report and to smooth the activity.

B. PROCEDURAL ACTION

   First, story teller  with the story in his mind comes to the  Lobby Desk of each dormitory. He/she prepares the  microphone.

   Second, He/she open the story with  a good opening. It must also be opened by Salam. Furthermore, the  story teller should open based on the guide from LC.

   Third, The story teller should give the nice performance in either Arabic or English. He/she may give the nice dialect or intonation with the creativity.

The last, the story teller must close  this action by Hamdalah and Salam. Finally, He/she must sign the report  of Night Story Telling and collect the draft or the story.
